Single-molecule FRET study of bacterial transcription initiation now out in Nature Communications!!!

We are very please that the results of our collaboration with Prof. Achillefs Kapanidis at University of Oxford is now out in Nature Communications! 🙂

Great work about initial transcription from the bacterial RNA polymerase (RNAP), where we demonstrate that a network of pauses traps the RNAP at 6mer RNA transcript, and that the nascent RNA is not necessarily released upon DNA promoter unscrunching. More here.
